Michael Crawford
Regional Facilities Manager

Professional Journey
In his current role, Michael oversees facilities operations across a group of Elmhurst properties, working closely with site managers, contractors, and tenants. He reviews maintenance plans, organizes inspections, and monitors both routine tasks and capital needs. When issues arise, he is often the person who translates technical language into clear options so that decisions can be made quickly andconfidently. His work helps ensure that building systems support tenant operations rather than disrupt them.
Earlier in his career, Michael spent more than 25 years in the glass and glazing industry, with a strong emphasis on project management. He oversaw everything from targeted repair and replacementwork to large-scale façade and curtainwall projects, coordinating field crews, fabricators, and general contractors on tight construction schedules. That experience gave him a practical understanding of how complex building systems come together, how trades interact on site, and what it takes to deliver works safely, on time, and to specification.
Today, Michael brings that experienceto Elmhurst’s long-horizon approach to real estate. He understands that every facility decision sits within a bigger picture: tenant satisfaction, operating costs, and asset value over time. By combining deep project management experience with a portfolio-level view, he helps Elmhurst make choices that are efficient today and smart for the long term.
“My job is to keep the buildings out of the way so tenants can focus on their work.”
